Chateaux Aoutour

Chateaux Anglar-Julliac

Join us in this most exquisite area of South West France that the madding tourist crowd hasn't discovered yet. Small groups (max 8) with plenty of individual attention. We unpack our bags, make ourselves 'at home' and really get 'in touch' with the locality, the locals and unleash our artistic passions. What fun!

The castles and houses of the Lot are such beautiful subjects to paint like Chateaux Anglar-Julliac just over my friends back fence. We will explore the hidden treasures of the "Lot", that the everyday tourist doesn't have access to.

Art Tuition

Available at all levels from beginners to experienced in the mediums of water color and pastel. Each morning after your scrumptious breakfast we shall have tuition followed by an equally delicious feast for lunch. Most afternoons you can explore, laze by the pool, take a long siesta, finish your current art project as you please. Some afternoons we shall continue with the tuition into the afternoon, if you choose to join in.

The Tutors:

Katherine Sabathie, water color and pastel, Australian born artist who lives part of the year in Australia and part in France. Katherine has exhibited in Australia and France. Katherine is also trained to coach/teach adults.

Chris Sabathie: Local knowledge, language tuition, Chris loves to share his passion for this delightful area he will charm you with local knowledge, customs, and language lessons. Born in this region and now spending part of his year in Australia. He will guide us to some of the hidden treasures - off the beaten tourist track, so you can capture the true essence of local life.

Guest Tutors:

Local tutors as available (to be announced) Gifted tutors from this region will be invited to give lessons in their specialty to expand your artistic experience.

Location and your Accommodation:

Your accommodation will be in Frozzy's Retreat in the South West of France in the region of the LOT. Which is accessible to some amazing medieval villages, historic sites, beautiful castles, lovely scenery, delightful gardens, colorful local characters (you may have "met" them in Mary Moody's popular books about this area) and most importantly the local food and wine. The French are passionate about their food and wine and we will make a point to not offend the locals by appreciating the specialties of the area with much enjoyment.

We are in France after all, where the day revolves around LUNCH!
